A pre-inspection is an optional vehicle check that can be carried out before the actual technical or emissions inspection. The aim is to identify any defects before the STK so you can avoid a failed inspection. STK City performs pre-inspections in Bratislava-Ružinov at Rožňavská 18541/2.
Why get a pre-inspection
A pre-inspection is particularly useful when you are uncertain about the technical condition of the vehicle, the vehicle has been standing for a long time, or you have doubts about a particular system (brakes, exhaust, lighting). Identifying an issue before the inspection saves you time and the cost of a repeat inspection.
A pre-inspection is not mandatory and does not replace the technical or emissions inspection – it is a service performed at the customer’s request.
Types of pre-inspections
Full TK + EK pre-inspection – a comprehensive vehicle inspection before the combined technical and emissions inspection. Includes all areas that are normally checked during TK and EK.
EK pre-inspection – verification of the vehicle’s emissions values before the emissions inspection. Suitable for vehicles where you have concerns about the condition of the exhaust system or catalytic converter.
Brake pre-inspection – measurement of braking efficiency and brake balance on a brake testing bench. One of the most common reasons for failing a technical inspection.
Pre-inspection – axle play diagnostics – inspection of axle, steering, and suspension play on a detection platform. Helps identify worn bushings, control arms, or wheel bearings.

STK City is located at Rožňavská 18541/2 in Bratislava-Ružinov, within the NAD 820 complex. Entrance is from Trnavská cesta — follow the STK City directional signs.
